Simon is one of the world’s most successful feature documentary producers with two Academy Award-winning documentaries, Man on Wire and Searching for Sugar Man, to his credit.

Jonathan has become one of the most respected non-fiction television showrunners in the US, with an Emmy for American High (Fox/PBS) and the Television Academy’s prestigious Honors Award for 30 Days (FX).

LUKE DAVIS   VP Development

Luke is a BAFTA nominated writer and winner of the British Guild of Journalism Award. During his nearly twenty year career, he has devised and sold over a hundred hours of television content. He has won commissions from a myriad of broadcasters both in the UK and US. He’s worked as an Executive Producer, Writer, Director and Development Executive across a broad range of genres including: Crime, Observational Documentary, History, Science, Engineering, Factual Entertainment, Online Interactive, Natural History and Shock-Docs.

He has previously worked for some of the UK’s best known documentary companies including Arrow Media, Blink Films, RAW and Century Films.

Rushie Perera is the Vice President of Development for non-scripted programming. She has developed series for several major cable and non-linear networks.

MAX DOBBYN   Development Producer

Max began his TV career working on a variety of factual British TV based in Spain before segueing into development roles at companies including Mentorn, TwoFour, and Electric Ray. Max has worked on programming from single documentaries to docusoaps and constructed reality series.


LAUREN BRINKMAN   Development Manager

Originally from Houston and Chicago, Lauren is a graduate of the Florida State Film School. Before joining Lightbox in 2015 she worked on a feature documentary and worked for a creative marketing vendor serving film studios such as Disney and Fox.


AL NOWICKI   Production Co-Ordinator

From the small town of Necedah Wisconsin, Al made the leap to New York where he graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Upon graduation he moved to Los Angeles where he found success in the commercial and production world.

Al has been working as a Production Co-ordinator/Manager for the last 12 years. Prior to joining Lightbox, Al has worked for CMP Productions, Actual Reality Pictures and Ridley Scott Films.


HELENA LEWIS   Production Co-Ordinator

Helena studied Film Studies at Falmouth University before becoming an archive researcher working on a variety of documentary feature films. She joined Lightbox in 2015 and has moved into production where she now is a coordinator.

RACHEL HAWATMEH   Executive Assistant (US)

From Santa Clarita, California, Rachel made the move to New York to earn her degree in Broadcast Journalism & Middle Eastern studies at New York University. Upon returning to Los Angeles, she joined the ABC News team and contributed to the development and production of Good Morning America, World News Tonight & 20/20.

OLLIE BOBROFF   Production Assistant (UK)

Born in London, Ollie studied politics at Leeds University and graduated in 2015. He then went onto work for London based radio stations Rinse Fm and Radar Radio, before joining the team at Lightbox, where he now works as a Production Assistant.
